In 2005 and 2006, holes were drilled into the Djambaye 2 zone along 11 cross-sections over a 1,100 metre length. Phase 1 of the 2007 program consists of drilling below the previous holes along the 11 cross-sections, starting in the north and working south.
The objective of the 2007 program on the Djambaye 2 zone is to continue to expand the mineral resource along the zone. In 2006, a study by Carl Verley (P. Geo.) on the zone established a preliminary inferred mineral resource of 928,787 tonnes of 4.48 grams per tonne gold or 133,882 ounces of gold.
So far, Great Quest has defined a 6,608 metre strike length of gold mineralization along the Djambaye 1 and Djambaye 2 gold zones. The company is currently in discussions to bring a second drill to the concession.
