Great Quest Metals appoints Mohammed Bouhsane Chief Operating Officer

Vancouver, BC: Victor J.E. Jones, President and CFO of Great Quest Metals Ltd. ("Great Quest" or the "Company")(TSX VENTURE:GQ)(FRANKFURT:GQM), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Bouhsane as Chief Operating Officer effective November 1, 2011, with principal responsibilities for the Bamako, Mali office and exploration activities.

Mr. Bouhsane brings to Great Quest 19 years' experience in project management and engineering in the Moroccan mining, hydrometallurgical, and metallurgy industries and a strong understanding of the phosphate industry. His expertise spans the mining, beneficiation and commercial production phases of a variety of ores and he has successfully brought all of the projects under his direction to production.

Mr. Bouhsane began his career in 1992 with the Office Chérifien de Phosphates (OCP), the world's leading exporter of phosphate and phosphoric acid. The OCP is a State owned corporation which holds the monopoly for the mining, processing and marketing of Moroccan phosphate. There, Mohammed was responsible for managing a production line for Di-Ammonium Phosphate. He then ascended the ranks of project management at Managem, part of the industrial ONA Group, from 1993 to 2006, in such roles as Project Director, Project Manager, Engineering Project Manager, Process Department Manager, and Process Engineer and Production Engineer, working on all aspects of the production of various metals and mineral projects. More recently, he was Project Manager at Nareva Holding, where he was responsible for the management of Amensous a subsidiary in charge of the El Guerdane irrigation project (€80M investment), including its co-financing, design, construction, and commissioning, from 2006 to 2011. Mr. Bouhsane is a member of the OIC (Quebec Order of Engineers), and the Conseil National des Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France (CNISF). He holds a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, and a DEA degree in process engineering from ENSIACET in France. He also completed a DUT degree in chemical engineering technology at EST Superior School of Technology, Fès, Morocco.

His knowledge of operations, particularly in regards to successful practices in the Moroccan mining and processing industries will greatly benefit the Company."

The Board of Directors has approved the grant of share purchase options to Mr. Bouhsane and one other individual totaling 400,000 options, at an exercise price of $2.20 per share, for a term of five years. The options vest over 2 years, in accordance with the Company's Stock Option Plan, and are subject to TSX Venture approval.

The Board also wishes to thank Mamadou Keita, who is retiring from the Company and its subsidiaries, for his contribution to the exploration activities in Mali.
