During the 2005 and 2006 drill programs on the Djambaye 2 zone, 11 cross-sections were established over a 1,100 metre section of the 4,000 metre long zone as defined by the occurrence of gold mineralization on the surface. In Phase 1 of the 2007 program, one drill hole has been drilled under each of the 11 cross-sections, starting from the north and working south. Drill holes KN 52-07 and KN 53-07 were drilled under the southern two cross-sections. KN 54-07 was located at the site of a 2006 drill hole, KN 34-06, and drilled at -50º to the southwest to test a structure cross-cutting the main zone. The mineralized section in KN 54-07 represents the intersection, in part, of the main zone. Great Quest has intersected significant gold mineralization in 44 out of 46 holes drilled to date on the Djambaye 2 zone.

In 2006, an initial study, completed by Carl Verley (P. Geol.) on the zone, gave an inferred mineral resource of 928,787 tonnes of 4.48 grams per tonne gold based on holes drilled in 2005 and 2006. At the conclusion of the 2006 program, the depth of the deepest intersection of the zone along the cross-sections ranged from 55 to 105 metres. During Phase 1 of the 2007 program, the depth of the deepest intersection of the zone increased to a range of 110 to 160 metres, and it remains open to depth. Phase 2 of the program, now well underway, is designed to extend the length of the Djambaye 2 gold zone to the south.

Drill core samples were submitted to ALS Laboratory Group, located in Bamako, Mali, and they were assayed by means of fire assay with atomic absorption finish. Where visible gold was seen, the assays were completed through pulp metallic sieve analysis, which is a more thorough method that helps to reduce the problems associated with the nugget effect of gold.
